I’m Capt. Andy Boyette. I’ve made my living guiding tarpon anglers since 1998, fishing Boca Grande and the surrounding waters. Whether this is your first tarpon charter or the trip you look forward to every year, we’ll plan your day around the fish, the conditions and your experience.

I grew up fishing these Florida waters and turned my passion for tarpon into a full-time guiding career in 1998. Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor are the waters I know and the places I keep coming back to.
My favorite part is helping another angler experience their own tarpon story. I’ll bring the local knowledge, the tackle and a plan for the day. You bring the anticipation.

When is your Florida tarpon fishing season?
I run tarpon charters April through October. Fishing opportunities change with fish movement, tides and weather. Tell me your dates, and we’ll discuss what fits your trip.
Is Boca Grande your main fishing area?
Yes. Boca Grande is the main focus, with tarpon fishing opportunities in Charlotte Harbor and along the Gulf beaches as conditions allow.
Do I need tarpon fishing experience?
No. First-time tarpon anglers and experienced fishermen are welcome. Tell me about your group when we plan the charter so I can help you choose the right trip.
Where do we meet for the charter?
Pickup is at designated docks. I’ll confirm the location and meeting time directly with you before your trip. We do not offer pickup from every waterfront location.
What should I bring?
Bring drinks, food, sun protection, a hat and sunglasses. Ice and a cooler are provided. If bringing your own cooler, use a small soft-sided or collapsible cooler that can fit under the deck.
How do I reserve a tarpon charter?
Call, text or email me with your preferred dates and group size. We’ll discuss available trips, current rates and the details before you reserve.
